Locate two academic journal articles from criminology/criminal justice journals that involve different types of criminal justice policies or programs. For example, you might select one article that evaluates a neighborhood crime prevention program, and a second article focused on mandatory minimum prison sentences. When you search for articles, you should select examples that are empirical in nature (i.e., studies involving data).

Your objective is to assess the evidence described by each study’s author(s) offering your own insight on these aspects:,

First identify the type of policy or program described in each of your two example studies., What crime type(s) do they address? Briefly, what is the context for each one, how are they theorized to work?

Second, describe the outcomes and impacts that the author(s) examine in each study. Where did their data originate? What was the time frame of each study? How did the author(s) determine whether the program worked or not, based on these outcomes and impacts?
